Nichols Concert Hall

Nichols Concert Hall is a 500 seat performance venue that can host a variety of productions, including operas, musicals, jazz ensembles, dance companies and symphony orchestras. The concert hall is equipped with high quality sound and A/V equipment as well as two Steinway grand pianos, a harpsichord and an organ, all of which can be rented for use in the hall.

Nichols Concert Hall is located at 1490 Chicago Avenue in Downtown Evanston. It shares the location with the Music Institute of Chicago's Evanston East campus. In addition to the concert hall, practice rooms in the lower section of the building can be rented based on availability and additional rental fees.

One Hall Manager will be provided as included in the basic contract payment to assist with facility and equipment needs. Based on rehearsal and performance needs, additional staff can be provided for an additional cost.

Lessee will procure, at its own expense, insurance covering its obligation from an insurance company or companies satisfactory to MIC.  The insurance must include a combined single limit bodily injury and property damage comprehensive general liability insurance policy in the amount of One Million Dollars ($1,000,000) per “Rental Date.”  The insurance must also include workers’ compensation insurance covering Lessee’s employees in an amount at least equal to the amount required by Illinois Law.  The policy must name MIC as an additional insured and Lessee will keep such insurance in full force and effect at all times during the period of the rental.  Such insurance will be evidenced by Certificate of Insurance delivered to MIC which provides for at least fourteen (14) days prior notice of cancelation to MIC.  Lessee will provide the Certificate of Insurance to MIC at least thirty (30) days prior to the first Rental Date.  A counter-signed lease agreement will be issued once the Certificate of Insurance is received by MIC.
